# Nibble — Privacy Policy **Last updated:** June 20, 2026 ## The short version Nibble does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. --- ## What data Nibble stores Nibble stores the following data locally on your device: - Food entries you log (food descriptions, calorie estimates, macronutrient estimates, timestamps) - Your preferences and settings (daily calorie goal, macro goals) - Apple Health sync status (if you choose to enable Health integration) All of this data is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using Apple's SwiftData framework. None of it is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. ## What data Nibble does NOT collect - Personal information (name, email, phone number, age, weight, gender) - Account credentials (there are no accounts) - Location data - Device identifiers or fingerprints - Usage analytics or behavioral data - Crash reports or diagnostics - Advertising identifiers ## On-device AI processing Nibble uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to estimate calories and macronutrients from your food descriptions. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone's hardware. Your food descriptions are never sent to any external server, API, or cloud-based AI service. ## Apple Health If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, Nibble writes your calorie and macronutrient data to Apple Health on your device. This data is then governed by Apple's Health privacy policies. Nibble can also read activity data (calories burned) from Apple Health to display a net calorie balance. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission. Nibble does not access any Health data beyond what is described above. ## Third-party services Nibble does not use any third-party services. There are no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, no crash reporting tools, no social media integrations, and no external APIs. The app operates completely independently with no network connections. ## Data export Nibble provides an option to export your data as a CSV file. This export is initiated by you and handled through your device's standard share sheet. Nibble does not retain, upload, or process the exported file in any way. ## Data deletion Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Nibble data at any time by deleting the app. No residual data exists on any server because no data was ever sent to one. ## Children's privacy Nibble does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no data whatsoever, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data. ## Changes to this policy If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.
